Is your vinyl jukebox playing songs slowly?

Given their age, the windings in the original motors are now beginning to fail. Sometimes cleaning them can fix this issue, but others are too far gone to repair and will need replacing. Depending on the type of carriage, there are usually two options: replace the broken part with a good working second hand motor, or upgrade to a brand new one.

We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Sound Leisure in Leeds to develop a solution to the speed issues we are now experiencing with NSM vinyl carriages. If you have this problem, you will notice that the first two or three records run slowly, and then gradually the speed may correct itself.

 

These modification kits comprise of a new motor plus a speed and direction control board, allowing the listener to manually alter the speed of play to their own satisfaction, should they need to.

 

The new motors can be fitted to shure carriages only. Unfortunately they cannot currently be fitted to ortofon carriages, but we are hopeful we can find a solution for that in the future.
